Our History

St Alphege’s Anglican Church in Pietermaritzburg, established in 1914, has undergone several reconstructions, with the current building consecrated in 1980

Our Mission

Our mission is to use care and discretion in the way we speak and act to reflect Christ’s light in everything we do and say.

Choir

We have talented individuals who meet on a Saturday at 3pm to practice for the following Sunday Mass.

Flower Arrangers

This team use their creative talents enhance the worship environment, reflecting the delicate beauty of God’s creation for all congregants.

Servers Guild

Our servers guild consists of enthusiastic youngsters, ranging from 3 years old, who meet on Saturday afternoons at 3 pm for servers practice.

Childrens Ministery

We have a lively Children’s Ministery that meets every Sunday during our Sunday morning Mass.

Lay Ministery

Our dedicated lay ministers contribute significantly to the spiritual and practical needs of our congregations, collaborating with clergy to serve the parish community.

ANSOC

ANSOC provides a supportive “home away from home” for students, offering worship, Bible studies, workshops, conferences, and community outreach programs.
